Jesus’ Wife

On September 18 news outlets reported that “Harvard professor Karen King has revealed a scrap of papyrus that purports to refer to Jesus’ wife.  The fourth-century fragment says, “Jesus said to them, ‘My wife …,’” according to King. The rest of the sentence is cut off.”

A few days later King announced that researches had managed to uncover a few more words. Immediately preceding “My wife” is the Aramaic word for “Take”, and right after “wife” is “please”…
